Events Calendar Listing

The Events Calendar announces any and all local performances and other activities open to the public that feature ensemble singing. Please see About TriangleSings! for eligibility details.

There is no charge for presenters to post events on the Calendar. Each activity has its own detailed page, created from material you send via the form below. Events go online after a quick review/edit. If information is received by the 21st of the preceding month, your listing will be highlighted and linked in the Choral Notes newsletter. To call special attention to your event, you may wish to Sponsor the Calendar.

First, please check to see whether the event is already listed. If not, go ahead with this form. Try to make your submission complete, though critical revisions may be made later. If the event is already on the Calendar and needs alteration, send only the changes; Member Groups must use the editing page for updates.

In most instances, your event will appear on the Calendar in a few days. Please revisit the website then, and let us know if there are any problems.

NOTE: TriangleSings! will be be unable to activate new postings from April 18 to May 2, 2012. Sorry for any inconvenience.

New Listing — Where * appears, the information must be provided. Also, please observe the "house rules" for TriangleSings! forms, and do not use:
  • Abbreviations (make it Road, not Rd.)
  • ALL CAPS, exclamation points (!) or verbal hype
  • First person (we, I, our, us)

Revision-Update — Member Groups: Do not use this form; your changes must be made at the editing page. Others: Fill in only your name, email address, group, activity date and new info. You may wish to summarize changes in Details/Notes at the end of the form.

The Event
This will become your headline on the Calendar as well as for your event page. It should be intriguing or at least specific: e.g., "Madrigals of Masters" or "Verdi's Requiem," instead of just "Concert."

A few enticing/explanatory sentences. Please do not paste in entire press releases; details (date, conductor, etc.) go elsewhere in the form. Do not use "we," "our," promotional hype, all caps or exclamation points. If the performance is by a subgroup of a Member Chorus (chamber choir, summer chorus, etc.), name it here; the listing nonetheless comes under the parent ensemble. Indicate here if the event involves a worship service: these are generally ineligible unless they are major works (at least 40 minutes) or special circumstances, as the editor decides. Note the system does not accommodate co-posting by two Member Groups; whoever fills out the form first gets the listing.
Name of ensemble; or "20-piece orchestra," "organ and timpani," etc. Alternatively, provide musician's name followed by , [comma] then instrument, with ; [semicolon] separating individual players.
