Support TriangleSings!
Like most nonprofit community services, this website looks to organizations, individuals and businesses for financial support . . . enabling TriangleSings! to provide information-sharing free of charge. Although run pro bono, the website has operating and upgrade expenses. Those who directly benefit — choruses, opera companies, music professionals, singers, audience members — are encouraged to help pay for these necessities.
You may support the website through grants or donations, and through underwriting or sponsorship of web content. Details are below.
DONATIONS/GRANTS
Please note: TriangleSings! is not a 501(c)(3) corporation, so funds sent directly to it are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions — though they are deductible as business expenses. That does not, however, at all diminish how much support is needed and appreciated. (If you think TriangleSings! should be a 501(c)(3) organization and have the skills and interest to make that happen, please contact us.)
You nonetheless can make tax-deductible donations, including matching gifts, via 501(c)(3) organizations that "pass through" the funds to TriangleSings!:
- Triangle Community Foundation. Checks should be payable to the foundation, with "Youth Pro Musica Fund/TS" in the memo line, and sent to: Veronica Hemmingway, Philanthropic Services, Triangle Community Foundation, 324 Blackwell Street, Suite 1220, Durham, NC 27701.
- CVNC, Inc. This organization serves as our fiscal sponsor and is where (larger) foundation grants usually go.
All donors receive written acknowledgment of tax-exempt gifts. Please notify TriangleSings! of your contribution when sending it to either pass-through organization.
If tax deductibility isn't a consideration, you may simply make a check payable to TriangleSings! and mail to: Carol T. Robbins, 705 Fearrington Post, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
Or, you can make a secure online donation through PayPal:
UNDERWRITING/SPONSORSHIP
There are two options for organizations and individuals interested in supporting the website, and in drawing attention to their choral-related offerings.
CALENDAR SPONSORSHIP is for groups with a listing on the Events Calendar or the Auditions & Calls Calendar.
An organization and its upcoming activity are featured and linked in a Calendar "banner" and in the month's Choral Notes newsletter. Sponsored items receive higher placement on Calendars; performances are in larger type on the homepage's "Coming Up Next" list and Events Calendar; sponsors are acknowledged on this page. Along with other groups contributing at least $50, Calendar sponsors receive: links in CN for auditions and calls; publicity for fundraisers and milestones; free classified ads. ("Sustaining Members" — groups donating $250 a year — may select two complimentary Calendar months.)
RESOURCES UNDERWRITING is for professionals, businesses and organizations offering services and goods that may be of interest to singers and ensembles.
There are four Resources categories: Voice/Singing Services; Recording, Photography and Videography; Music Supplies and Accessories; Choral Festivals, Workshops, Getaways. Underwriters' listings include a description of offerings, with logo or photograph and email and website links. Resources sponsors are "introduced" and thanked in the Choral Notes, which also runs news about upcoming concerts for vocal instructors, new products of suppliers, deadlines for choral opportunities, etc.
These sponsors create ads on the Resources page. They receive linked mention(s) in Choral Notes at least once a year, and mentions in the newsletter of any related special activities or events. They may choose to also have their logos appear on the website's homepage.
