SUMMARY:55th Annual Handel’s Messiah Open Sing
DESCRIPTION:Every year since 1966 (except during the pandemic), community members have gathered together to perform Handel’s Messiah during Advent. We gather together a conductor and a small orchestra, and the audience is the choir. Every member of the audience is handed a vocal score when they walk in the door and join their appropriate choir section; there are no bystanders! Immersive participation makes this Messiah Sing very special. The pandemic halted the Chapel Hill Messiah Sing for several years, but we are reviving the tradition this December. This year the 55th annual Chapel Hill Handel’s Messiah Open Sing will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 7 PM at the Chapel Hill Bible Church.\n
