New Choral Premiere

On Sunday, May 15th the Trinity Choir will sing the premiere of ‘Awake, Ye Tempests’, newly composed by Jonathan David, during the 10am service at Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church, Durham. This music was commissioned in honor of Harry Jansen’s 25th anniversary as Director of Music Ministry at Trinity Avenue. The text is a paraphrase of Psalm 148 by Isaac Watts.

Jonathan David is an established composer of choral and instrumental music.

The choir will be joined by Mary Boone, associate principal flute for the NC Symphony and Debbie Pitman, principal cellist of the Durham Symphony;
