The Chancel Choirs of Pilgrim United Church and United Church of Chapel Hill, Ali Carnes and Jennifer Anderson, directors

Sponsored by the Negro Spirituals Royalties Projects of Pilgrim United Church and United Church of Chapel Hill. Modern arrangers of concert and gospel-style spirituals receive due recognition, but the enslaved peoples who were the original creators of this rich body of musical literature were never recognized for their contribution. In recognition of this the NSRP pays this debt forward by supporting groups that center the musical education and advancement of minority. Donations given at this concert will support the efforts along these lines of 100 Men in Black and S.O.N.A.M.
