An achievement-based vocal and music training program of the highest calibre, with three groups for treble singers ages nine through 18. CCGC comprises three ensembles: Chorus, the training choir for beginning singers; Chorale, the intermediate ensemble; and Cantabile Singers, for advanced singers and high school students.
The Cardinal Singers is an SSA ensemble sponsored by the City of Raleigh’s Parks and Recreation Department. Winner the 2008 Fred Fletcher Award of Excellence in Volunteering, the group has been performing for almost 30 years. The Cardinals sing for a variety of occasions and groups, including civic organizations and retirement communities.
First chartered in 1978, Carolina Harmony Chorus is an a cappella ensemble based in Raleigh. The award-winning group is part of Sweet Adelines International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to singing primarily in the barbershop style. Carolina Harmony members come from a wide range of backgrounds, including from other countries; their ages range from the mid-20s through the mid-70s. Membership is open to women (including transgender women) and non-binary people assigned female at birth.
The Choir of Saint Michael’s sings a broad range of music from the Renaissance to the finest choral works of modern composers, with a special emphasis on music from the English cathedral tradition. The choir requires singers with excellent music reading skills, and a voice that blends well with others. The choir sings a liturgy each Sunday, as well as Choral Evensong and Sung Compline throughout the season.
Church based Choral Group that opens membership to community members for seven major presentations each year. The group performs with professional orchestra for these worship events.
