Come Sing with Us!

The Durham Community Chorale, under the direction of Melody Zentner, accepts voice placement applications each semester. This semester, we are looking for all voice ranges, but especially tenors and basses, who are ready to come to rehearsal fully prepared (notes and rhythms learned), who can memorize music, who have a willingness to sing different genres of music from classical to jazz, and who enjoy a highly interactive process, which includes taking personal direction from the Artistic Director. Experience in ensemble singing is preferred but not required.

Voice placement will take place Thursday, August 28, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 6:30 PM and Tuesday, September 2, at the Durham Arts Council at 6:30PM. The first rehearsal will be Tuesday, September 9, at the Durham Arts Council. If you’re interested, please click on the event link to apply.
