North Carolina Master Chorale holding auditions for their 80th season

The North Carolina Master Chorale, resident choir of the NC Symphony, will be holding auditions on August 23rd and August 28th for 2022-2023. In addition to our 80th Anniversary season concerts, we will be singing alongside the NC Symphony for Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem, and with the Carolina Ballet for Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Prior choral music singing experience is expected, preferably in a professional, civic, or college chorus, or a strong church choir. Auditions are 8-10 minutes long, with Music Director Al Sturgis and our accompanist. Singers are asked to bring a prepared classical song or aria to showcase their strengths, though other songs may be acceptable.
