The Durham Community Chorale Presents: Peace & Joy Await

We invite you to join the Durham Community Chorale, under the direction of Melody Zentner, as we celebrate the hope and joy of the upcoming season. Along with our new accompanist, Ramon Brito, we welcome guest oboist Bo Newsome, Instructor of Music at Duke University. In addition to a commission from North Carolina composer Sherry Blevins (“The Sun Will Rise Again”), we’ll perform songs of peace (including “Hanukkah Wish” and Gabriel Faure’s timeless “Cantique de Jean Racine”), hope (“Veni, Veni, Emmanuel”, “Do You Hear What I Hear?”) and joy (“Sing We With Gladness”, “Sleigh Ride”), as well as other timeless holiday classics in arrangements old and new.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday, December 7, 3:30PM, at Temple Baptist Church, as we receive respite from the hustle and bustle of the world around us in a way that only music can provide.
