The UNCG Opera Theatre presents: Menotti’s “Amahl and the Night Visitors” (75th Anniversary Production)
Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Gian-Carlo Menotti’s beloved Amahl and the Night Visitors, written in 1951 for NBC-TV’s “Hallmark Hall of Fame.” Enjoy a visually stunning production, beautiful solo and choral singing, and the shepherd’s dance, all accompanied by a professional orchestra. Appropriate for all ages, our production is the ideal way to introduce someone who has never seen a live opera, or for seasoned opera-lovers to revel in the beauty that is Amahl.
NOTE: Triangle resident Luca Smith is singing the title role of Amahl on Thursday evening, November 12 @ 7:30 p.m.
