Voices’ “Hope and Light” concert – Mozart’s Requiem & contemporary work featuring soloists & orchestra!

Voices Chapel Hill is pleased to announce its Spring 2026 concert, which will feature professional soloists, a full string orchestra and over 150 community singers singing Mozart’s Requiem. Voices’ acapella chamber group, Cantari, will complement Requiem with Epoch of Hughes, a piece by up-and-coming female composer Jasmine Barnes which transports listeners to early 20th century Harlem as it sets the work of Langston Hughes to complex melodies. 

Hope and Light will run at East Chapel Hill High School at 7:30 pm on Saturday, May 16. Tickets are sold on a sliding scale with a standard price of $20 and a student price of $10, with kids attending free!
