Choral Society of Durham presents Singing Sorrow, Singing Tomorrow
This concert presents two stories, one of a young Kurdish refugee who travelled hundreds of miles from war-torn Syria in her wheelchair, and the other the poignant photographic images of early 20th century Durham residents. Two significant works invite us to seek deeper understanding in the words of Nujeen Mustafa, and in the faces of unnamed citizens of different backgrounds that will be shown as we hear their imagined words.
