“With Love, Eleni” is an evening recital showcasing the work of two Durham-based musicians: soprano Eleni Nicholas and pianist Liam Drake.

This concert promises to take the listener on a journey through time and emotion. The music for this concert was carefully selected to include repertoire that spans the rich tapestry of classical vocal music. From 18th and 19th century Italian arias & ariettas, to 19th century Russian romance and German lieder, to 20th century French mélodie and Greek folk, and concluding with 20th and 21st century English art song, this concert will explore the fundamental themes of the human experience: love, grief, joy, lust, death, and the afterlife.
