We offer music/voice private and/or group lessons and special ensemble programs for all instruments and voice types for ages 4+. We are located in Clayton, NC. We offer a free trial lesson.
Our trained professional music and voice instructors – with many years of experience in teaching and performing – are ready to share the art of musicianship. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced training.

Doc Adams Music
Description of Services
Private voice lessons and tutoring. Located in North Durham, I provide both in-person and online lessons for students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Over 30 years experience with hundreds of students from the career-minded professional to the amateur hobbyist. All lessons are tailored to the goals of the student.
William Adams’ musical career has been exceptionally diverse, driven equally by passions to expand the limits of his own artistic abilities and to reach out and empower musicians of all ages and backgrounds.
Trained as an operatic baritone, he has a growing repertoire of more than 70 roles in opera, oratorio, and musical theater. An avid choral musician, his experience includes vocal jazz, madrigals, contemporary a cappella, and barbershop harmony. His instrumental background has led to performances on more than 40 instruments in every conceivable setting from symphony orchestras to rock bands.
His work as a conductor has led him to more than 100 festivals around the country, community and church choirs, barbershop choruses, theater productions, marching bands, symphonic bands, and jazz bands. He currently serves as Artistic Director for two ensembles based in Durham, North Carolina. Heart of Carolina A Cappella, a multi-award winning barbershop harmony chorus; and the Triangle Vocal Project, an 18-voice professional chamber choir whose mission is to make great music and raise money for music-based charities.
A fierce advocate for music education, he has lectured throughout the country about curriculum design, music education advocacy, vocal health, and performance practice techniques to performers and educators alike. He is a published scholar in the music of Ralph Vaughan Williams.
His compositions and arrangements for choirs, soloists, and for the stage, have earned awards from the Kennedy Center and performances at Carnegie Hall and throughout the United States and Europe.
Dr. Adams earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, the Master of Music degree from California State University at Northridge, the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from California State University at San Bernardino, and the Associate of Arts degree from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Kimberley Bentley Vocal Studio
Description of Services
Kimberley Bentley Vocal Studio offers private voice lessons for singers ages 11 and up. Singers work on developing their vocal technique and musicianship, as well as building their abilities as interpreters and actors throughout the learning process. Each lesson is tailored to the individual so that they grow at their own pace and feel comfortable taking chances as an artist!

Mark Manring Recording
Description of Services
We do on-location audio and video recording, including live concerts, recitals, audition videos as well as recording sessions. Primarily classical and modern instrumental and choral music, though I’m open to just about any musical type.
We use multiple 4K Canon camcorders (typically 2-4) with multiple angles for a professional look and produce HD videos perfect for YouTube. Audio is multiple pro microphones (4 – 12 or more) for CD quality soundtracks. The sound makes the video, and ours is some of the best locally and nationally.
More than 25 years recording in the Triangle and beyond.
Rose Street Studios
Description of Services
I offer private voice and/or guitar lessons in my home studio located near downtown Cary. Beginning or experienced students are welcome. I have a background in church music and choral conducting and can help singers with refreshing their vocal technique as well as coaching on song or church repertoire. Guitar teaching includes folk, pop, and rock music. My qualifications include BM from Westminster Choir College, MM from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Fee is $30.00 for thirty minute or $45.00 for forty five minute lessons. Please contact Jim White at Rose Street Studios.
